Looks like Nomar is going to win it. I have been meaning to ask you about your thoughts on Ryan Madson's season so far? Has pitched as expected, a little more, little less?
Madson - I think it is very fair to say he has pitched below expectations to this point in the season, but it is hard to determine whether this is a cause of his inconsistent performances on the mound or the unrealistic expectations placed on him by some Phillies fans (I'm guilty of that). All in all, it was a below average first half for Madson but I've oersonally seen enough out of him to believe that he can have a much better second half and use that as a springboard to a long run in the Phillies starting rotation. Madson is a player I really, really, really believe in.
I'd probably do Abreu for Hughes or Lester straight up right now...knowing full well the risk of trading for young pitching and all that good stuff.

The Phillies will trade Abreu, they will take nothing less than a upcoming starting pitcher to build the team around, ie Phillip Hughes, Jon Lester.
